I had been having a long time struggle with my batteries. They kept melting! The two diagnoses were:
1) Loose batteries cables 2) Short in electrical system
I had taken the vehicle in to several mechanics and bought several new batteries. But the problem persisted. I was getting ready to throw in the towel. I had already spent several hundred dollars on trying to get this problem fixed.
I decided to give it one more try. So I drove down Tremont St. in Oceanside, looking for a battery place. The place I thought I’d be going to wasn’t open. But near the end of the street, I saw John from S& S Radiators, Air Conditioning & Electrical just opening his gates. – He said that he could take a look at it. And I drove in.
Long story short: John did it! My battery problem is fixed. My vehicle has never started so easily and quickly. – He took care of two batteries and installed new cables too.
In the course of our talking, I mentioned HirePatriots and told John about how we help a lot of the local Marines and Sailors in town. And so in respect for the service HirePatriots provides, and so that he could participate in supporting our program, this patriotic mechanic dug into his own pocket and paid my bill!
And so I this is what I am doing to thank John for his contribution. – I am letting you know that he did what a half a dozen other mechanics didn’t or couldn’t.
